What We Do

A critical component of our business strategy is based on maximizing our growth and profitability and that of our stakeholders.

Our Strategy

The critical component of our business strategy is based on maximizing our growth and profitability and that of our stakeholders. Our primary focus will be on:

  • Skills development.
  • Corporate social investment in disadvantaged communities.
  • Equity ownership by previously disadvantaged individuals (women).
  • Enhancing growth in the business partnerships that we are involved in.

We at ShawashA intend to boost farmer moral throughout the cropping stages of the season so as to purchase quality crops that fit the clients expectations.

We uphold our logistics as part of our strategy timeously in order to move consignments from the ground to the consumer so as to meet timelines along the chain.

Each shipment will be tracked daily from the farms to the ginnery warehouse to the client in order to maintain good relations and to insure that any problems that may arise are quickly solved.

ShawashA feels that quality in every step of the field to value addition process is the key to a long-term relationship with its customers throughout the world.

Risk & Mitigation Strategy

Globally the world is faced with a serious climate change hence, the need of substitute goods is on the high across the agriculture sector.
In the cotton industry like any other industry the challenge of such leads to a substitute fiber such as synthetic fiber.

The risks involved due to this reduces the quality in products and in food cases malnutrition. We at Shawasha are trying like the rest in the world to mitigate the threats by engaging in further researches and development on this greenfield by introducing new technology to the sector so as to increase timely harvests and to always educate cotton growers on climate changes and benefits of growing the crop.

We hope that further researches will address the issues of climate change to maintain the desired qualities that cotton provides which is comfort, ease of care, breathability and quality in comparison with synthetic fiber.

Good Agricultural Practices(GAP) & Good Handling Practices(GHP)

Shawasha crop productions are guided by guidelines of GAP AND GHP to ensure that all our product are fit for human consumption.

As the world is now focused on reducing the ever-increasing Coronavirus infections, Shawasha has embarked on producing biofortified yellow maize and NUWA 45 sugar beans whihc are high in zinc. In light of this, we have started implementing value chain partnerships through CBOs.
